About the Parish Council

Your local Parish Council is democratically elected to represent you and is responsible to the community for projects and initiatives that benefit the residents of the Village. This is the first tier of government working in partnership with the parishioners and local community groups.

The Council comprises 7 members; all Councillors work on a voluntary basis.

The Clerk is the Responsible Officer of the Council in Law and has a number of special duties and responsibilities in executing the resolutions of the Council and advising on points of law and procedure. The Council also has an Internal Auditor for all financial matters.
